Four groups of isozymograms were obtained by analyzing the composition of MD, NP, LD and G6PD derived from human, mouse, rabbit, Chinese hamster, guinea pig,dog, ox and monkey cells using thin layer agarose gel electrophoresis and applied for the species identification of 46 strains of various passaged cells. The results were competely identieal with the actual species origin. It suggested that the isozymogram prepared is good in reliability, reproducibility and stability.

Four cell strains secreting McAbs which could neutralize tetanus toxin were obtained by fusing SP 2/0 cells with the spleen cells of BALB/c mice immunized with refined tetanus toxoid. The McAbs secreted by the 4 strains could recognize various antigenic sites.The McAbs secreted by one of the strains could neutralize 0.1~0. 4IU/ml of tetanus toxin in mice, and the mixture of McAbs secreted by 2, 3 and 4 strains could neutralize 20, 350 and 750IU/ml, respectively.,

In order to improve the probagation ability of epidemic hemorrhagic fever virus (EHFV) in golden hamster kidney cell (GHKC) and the virulent titre, 6 strains of suckling mice encehalocoele-adapted virus were undergone more than 12 passages in GHKC. The virulent titre of the adaptive strains were significantly improved and stable, and the ELISA,HA and RPHA titers of them were significantly higher than those of suckling mice encephalocoele-adapted virus.

The strain14-2 of Japanese encephalitis virus has been serially undergone 11 pasages in suckling dog kidney cells. The virus titer of the strain reached 6. 21 Log PFU/ml after the first passage. However, when it was further passaged, no significant increase of titer was found. The passaged strain14-2, showed no intracerebral toxicity or subcutaneous pathogenicity to 3-week-old mice. On the contrary, the intracerebral toxicity of those passaged in sulkling murine brain was 1. 5~3.0 LogLD50/0.03ml and showed no significant difference compared with primary strain. Complete characterization and control tests proved that the quality of the freezeudried live JE vaccine using suckling dog kidney cells as substrate reached current live JE vaccine requirements.

Six hybridoma cell strains secreting McAbs were obtained by immunizing BALB/c mice with CVS strain of rabies virus. We found that 4 of the 6 strains secreted McAbs to rabies virus glycoprotein, and the other 2 of them secreted McAbs to rabies virus nucleoprotein. The dignostic reagent for rabies virus by sandwich ELISA was prepared with the ascites containing these McAbs and showed good specificity to both fixed and street virus strains, but no non-specific reaction to normal mice brain or tissue ctllture was found. The CVS strain with a low titer of 330 LD50 was detectable and this indicated its good sensitivity.

After being stored at 37℃ for 3 days, the titers of 422 strains of recombinant vaccinia virus, that could express rabies virus glucoprotein, decreased less than 1 logarithmic value and showed no significant difference compared with their parent strains. However, the titers of the rabies virus using as control decreased by 3- 5 logarithmic valueunder the same conditions. 5 % albumose using as protective agent was added in the 422 strains and showed a protective rate of 51.6%-92.6%. The titers of the 422 strains containing 5% albumose decreased less than 0. 5 logarithmic value after being stored at 37℃ for 3 days, and were more stahle at 22℃or 4℃

The first quality control references of EIA reagent for anti-HIV detection, including postivity, negativity, sensitivity and precision references, were established by screening 41 samples of anti-HIV positive or negative human plasma by domestic and imported reagents, using International anti-HIV Quallty Control Reference as standard. Confirmatory tests were done by Western Blot. 91 lots of domestic reagents were detected by the reference and compared with imported reagents. The reference showed good resolving capability. Anti-HIV detection reagent quality standard was estabitished on the basis of this study and approved by the National Authority as well as reference,

The growth of Neisserin ganorrheree in a recently prepared medium (WGC)was compared with those in IGC and MTM mediums. It was found that the sensitivities of the 3 mediums were basically in agreement- Known bacterial strains were detected by oxidase test paper and Neisseria rapid glycolytic test kit and the results were correct. 903 clinical samples were cultured in both WGC and IGC mediums and detected by Gram,s staining and oxidase test paper. 402 and 400 samples were proved to be Neisseria gonorrhoeae positive in IGC and WGC respectively. The coincidence rate of them was 99. 5%. 366 of the 400 positive samples cultured in WGC were verified by rapid glycolytic test, and 364 of them were proved to be positive. The coincidence rate of detective results of oxidase test paper and rapid glycolytic test was 99. 45%.

Twenty-six cases of myclodysplastic syndrome were subcutaneously injected with rIFN-γ,and the curative effect of 21 of them were evaluated according to Europe curative effect standard. The total effective rate (CR +PR+MR) was 42. 9%, and the effective rate of RA, RAS and RAEB were 45. 5%, 50% and 50% respectively. However, rIFN-γ showed no curative effect on RAEB-T and CMMDL.The most frequent and persistent side effects were fever and fatigue. However, these symptoms were significantly eased after being treated with ibuprofen. When the dosage of rIFN-γ was more than 200 ×106 u/day,the reduction of Hb, WBC or PIt were observed in some patients. The other side effects were mild and reversible.
